Nail Mystery Solved!

Camping in Winter means you get to experience all the beautiful landscapes Australia has to offer, without the Summer holiday traffic, crowds and inflated campsite fees! If you’re a fan of skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing and generally frolicking like a snow bunny, then Winter is an even bigger treat. Make sure to be well prepared for the chilly temperatures with a warm sleeping bag and other camping gear.

Crazy Sales has a few hacks for keeping warm in your sleeping bag this Winter:

  1. Use the drawstrings at the top of the sleeping bag to tighten up all the gaps, so no cold air can get in, and no hot air can get out.
  2. Don’t put your head inside the bag – even if it feels warmer at first, your breath will create condensation and end up making the inside of your bag moist and cold.
  3. Do some mild exercise inside your bag to increase blood flow (say… 20 sit ups?) – this will warm you from your head to your toes and then heat up your sleeping bag quickly.
  4. Change into your pajamas or thermals INSIDE the sleeping bag – keeping in all that precious heat.
  5. Stuff your other clothes inside with you – reducing the empty space that your body needs to heat up and increasing warm insulation.

Camping in winter, waking up surrounded by fresh powdered snow, is one of the most beautiful things in the world. As long as you have the right camping equipment, you’ll have a blast every time.
