Beautiful Edible Centrepiece for Christmas
Your Christmas centrepiece should be unique and impressive. A fun and creative way to make a lasting impression with this years centrepiece is to make one that’s edible. Your guests will enjoy sharing (and eating) your artwork that that was made with love.
This is a Chocolate with cream cheese frosting recipe that you can do at home but you have an option to do your own. It’s a nice touch to bake a load of different flavours for an element of surprise. You can also buy cupcake and arrange it on the tower but your guests will appreciate it more if you do it by your self.
Materials that you need:
Christmas Cupcake tower
Cupcake cups
Pipping Bags and Tips
Cupcake Recipe:
2 1/4 cup SR Flour
1 2/3 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Butter softened
2/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1 1/4 cup Water
1 1/4 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1/3 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe:
16 oz. cream cheese, softened
1⁄4cup + 2 tsp sweetener
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp milk (optional)
Directions:
Cupcake:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Using a stand mixer, whisk together all ingredients.
Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full. You can use baking tray that has a Christmas design for a more appropriate and interesting appearance.
Bake for 19 minutes.
Allow to cool completely before frosting.
Frosting:
16oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup heavy cream, cold.
Higher the fat content, the better (I’m using 40% Ultra)
Cream Cheese Frosting:
Place cheese and sweetener into medium mixing bowl.
Mix on low speed for 1 minute to combine.Add the vanilla.
Mix on low speed 1 minute until creamy and blended.
Add 1 tsp of milk, if necessary, for thinner spreading consistency.
When the Cupcake is done you can add the cream cheese frosting to it.
Add Green candy sprinkles and cherry on top. Arrange the cupcakes on the cupcake tower.
